New 30GB U2 iPod

This week Apple Inc. released a new Special Edition 30GB U2 iPod. It comes complete with a slick black design and the ability to hold 7,500 songs, 25,0000 pictures, or 75 hours of video. The Special Edition iPod comes with a free 30 minute video including band interviews and music clips. This new iPod is capible of playing 20 hours of continues music, and is fitted with a new slender design with a slightly larger screen. Retail for this product is $329.


Google Spreadsheets Released

In March, Google Inc. purchased "Upstart," makers of the Writely word processor. After two months of developing, Google anncounced that Tuesday June 6th, they will be releasing, for beta testing, a new web-based spreadsheet. This new spreadsheet will allow easy sharing, and multi-person editing combined with "in-document" chat. It will be interesting to see how well this product is and how well it will compete with the standard office tool, Microsoft's Excel.


New Nintendo Wii

This week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Nintendo's new gaming system called, "Wii," beat out the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 by winning the Best of Show Award. The new system features a one of a kind motion-sensing and sound-emitting controller. This innovative system is expected to be on the market by December this year with an projected price less than that of the new Playstation 3.
